Purpose
The QGD-10-Z20 energy-storage‑type starting power unit is primarily used to supply electrical power for the starting of engines and for field maintenance of helicopters in the Z‑8, Z‑10, Z‑20, Z‑20T, Mi‑171, and other series. Its power output complies with the relevant requirements specified in GJB 3706‑1999, “Power Supply Characteristics and General Requirements for Military Helicopter Ground Power Units.”
The QGD-10-Z20 energy‑storage‑type starting and power‑supply unit is a modular, mobility‑enhanced upgrade based on the QGD-10(Z) energy‑storage‑type starting and power‑supply unit. It comprises two variants: the QGD-10‑Z20/28V energy‑storage‑type starting and power‑supply unit, intended for starting the engines of the Z‑10 helicopter series and providing power during field maintenance; and the QGD-10‑Z20/115V AC/DC energy‑storage‑type starting and power‑supply unit, designed for engine starting and field‑maintenance power supply on helicopters such as the Z‑8, Z‑20, Z‑20T, and Mi‑171.
